  3. The Rumors are True!

    The rumors are true!

Filbar’s is getting a major reboot. Forget about The New 52 or Marvel Now. 2013 will see the coming of the all-new, all-different Filbar’s!

May 1, 2013 — The Filbar’s chain of comic and magazine stores is now under new ownership and management. As of early 2013, the Filbar’s brand is under the leadership of Collecticons Inc., with no affiliation to its previous owners. The change in ownership is intended to revitalize the brand and grow Filbar’s core businesses of delivering comic and pop culture-related products to fans of all ages.

Under Collecticons Inc., Filbar’s will be acquiring various new licenses and will become the official distributor of many exciting brands across various product ranges, from comics and collectibles, to fashion and lifestyle products. In addition, Collecticons will be launching a completely re-imagined design for the Filbar’s stores. The renovations, which are expected to take effect during the second and third quarter of 2013, will create a new kind of shopping experience for the growing sophisticated needs of the Filipino fanboy/fangirl market.

The new owners will continue to offer the same comic book and magazine titles it has in the past. They are expected to resume weekly new comic book sales by midyear.

  4. With a sprinkling of Lior Lev Sercarz’s pixie dust, almost anything might be edible.

  5. Non-Foodie Thought

    I miss feeling that I have a dancer’s body.

It is not so much about being fat or not.  Heck, I still fit into a size zero even after a big meal.  It is about feeling light, energetic, long and toned.  It is about shining positive rays on the world and embracing both ups and downs with a genuine grin.

It is about not being wiped out and foggy-headed immediately upon waking up from decent sleep.

It has been more than a year since I stopped being a vegan and focused on nourishing my body and healing my mind.  I even quit soda (yep, actually possible) and coffee (yes, believe it).

But I still feel like I am lugging a ton of bricks on my back every single day.  Not to mention inexplicably losing muscle tone.

At least my body no longer feels too cold for comfort.  Still underweight but I think I am getting there.

This month, I will be signing up in a gym (or maybe yoga class) to add variety to the workouts I do at home (which I already toned down in the name of health).  Let us see what happens.

    Everything in God’s time.

Woke up feeling positive today.  If I’m going to gain weight to be fertile, I’m going to make it look damn good! :D

  10. Finally.

Finally gave myself the brain space to write on my Wine Journal, catch up on reading about articles not related to work or other responsibilities, and to bask in pure Moroccan argan oil.

Sometimes I envy people who do not seem to be affected by how toxic everyday struggles can become or how burdensome both positive and negative stressors can impose upon our constitution.  Sometimes, I envy people who can have restful sleep at will.

I have always been hyper, positive and zen, but I seem to be missing that energy.  And I do not like it.  It feels…different.  And uncomfortable.

Okay someone’s knocking on the door.  Must end the blog entry.
